Join 4GOOD- April, 17th- Nothin' But Sand

4GOOD is participating in a great event to help clean up the beach!

Join with hundreds of other volunteers to help ensure that there is Nothin' But Sand on our local beaches. On the 3rd Saturday of each month, Nothin’ But Sand (NBS) cleanups are held as hands-on opportunities for volunteers to directly improve the condition of Santa Monica Bay beaches while enjoying the great outdoors. Cleanup locations rotate throughout the year amongst Los Angeles County's dirtiest beaches...those that most need your help!

Heal the Bay is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Santa Monica Bay and Southern California coastal waters safe and healthy for people and marine life.

Special Note: NBS-Heal the Bay provides all cleanup supplies. Volunteers should print, fill out and bring the Adopt-a-Beach Waiver of Liability
go to: http://www.laworks.com/projects to print all necessary forms but RSVP through 4GOOD.

We will RSVP for you through our 4GOOD group on LA Works.
Please just email info@4goodcommunity.org with all names and email's of volunteers (ages too if anyone is a minor) and the LA Works 4GOOD group will send you an invitation directly to your email.

Looking forward to seeing you at this great event!!!!

Thanks,
4GOOD

Lanterns donated to community in Uganda , Africa on behalf of 4GOOD

Hello 4GOOD members, if you haven't already heard we are now international...well at least we have one member who has joined our group and is from Uganda, Africa.

About a week ago our friend in Uganda- yes I said Uganda, Africa...Ssemutumba Stephen the founder of BUVAD donated lanterns to 36 needy community members of Bukolooto parish in Kayunga Sub County of Uganda(E.A). He did this on behalf of 4GOOD to save these people from the hazardous paraffin candle... that emits poisonous smoke and has led to fire outbreaks destroying many homes.

View the photos in the link below. Pretty amazing...we can do GOOD without even being there. If you can please take a look at the pictures and the link to his organization is www.buvad.org

Check out his pictures...
